PS4 Preload

Have read from multiple sources that we can preload today, one being the link inside the instructions on the home page. Have followed said directions concerning the auto download feature but see nothing on my notification list or current downloads. Can anyone provide a little more clarity on what we should expect in the next 24 hours, especially concerning any actions one should take outside those listed above?

Unfortunatly I think the pre load was that 1.7GB file , id so love to be proven wrong on this one

If you Pre-Ordered through PSN, the auto-download should start (if set) when that countdown ends. The countdown ends tomorrow at midnight, so you'll be able to download the 1.7 GB file before maintenance is over. There's supposed to be another file in the launcher that'll update too, though. That's the meaty patch (heard it was in the 20+ area).

I was able to download the 1.7gb file after entering my early access code. So hopefully, yes.

EDIT!!!!!

1.7GB is now downloading and can be seen on my notifications menu in the downloads section.

What i did was i went and selected/highlighted FFXIV(but not opened nor launched),
then pressed down to see the details, pressed right to highlight the items on the right,
then pressed down until i got to the add-ons section. i highlighted and selected my preordered add-on.
i saw that my HW pre-order was set to auto-download: off.
i turned it on then i exited and rechecked it again (coz the auto download remained off even tho i turned it on already, you have to exit to reset the previous setting).
then after making sure that the auto downloads is set to ON,(and restarted my PS4 to be sure), i relaunched FFXIV and viola! HW started downloading. Hope this helps.

You are preloading the client
/launcher. The actual download comes from square and won't be preloaded.

You can only preload the client (1.7gb) not the actual patch (3.0). And for digital I don't think we can until tomorrow, I just checked and I can't download it yet, cause as far as I know the game on the PS store read it would be available for download 6/18/15.

So I got my pre-download to work! I started reading over the EA details on the lodestone, and saw this:

"PlayStation®4
Visit the “Settings” menu of the PS4, then select “PlayStation™Network/Account Management,” then “Account Information.” Scroll down and select “Services List,” and find “FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” Selecting it will show Heavensward early access. This will also grant you the in-game bonus items at release."

So I opened up all the HW related stuff and went back to check my pre-order and I was able to start downloading the 1.7gb
