    What's funny is that every single one of the dungeons whose XP distribution they're changing has at least one group of mobs that's often skipped. If those skipped mobs are having part of their XP transferred over to the bosses, then this is actually an XP boost!

    True, near full clear runs should be getting a slight XP boost.

    I don't understand how some people don't grasp the math behind all this. The more people that do fates, the longer they take next time. The "easy" fates that had 100 people last time now only has maybe 10, takes 15-20 minutes to get done for decent exp. A dungeon speed run, now skipping trash mobs because lolexp was transferred to boss, can take a couple minutes, rinse and repeat. This is a horrible design and I for one am seriously bummed out the changes they made for dungeons overall. No exp in lvl 50 dungeons unless you're roulette, more exp for bosses than trash mobs? This could turn into fates on the world map being camped by hundreds of people, and instead of first room pulls, it might just turn into first boss kill runs. People will find a way to max the exp given per hour, and damn the rest. It's just who we are.

    Make it so that the the EXP payout of a boss is directly correlated to the percentage of trash skipped on the way to said boss. If you skip/lock out 40% of mobs, then you only get 60% of the EXP.

    So, after reading this thread, not a single person gave a single good reason for WHY first room farming was bad in the first place (assuming it was done through PF with a group that expects it).

    Can no-one provide 1 solid reason for it?

    All I could get was one story about a tank leaving after the first room, but honestly I took that as an issue of poor communication than anything else.

    By putting the qualifier "good" before "reason", you can pretty much discount any argument you want to.

    SE designed dungeons to be run in their entirety. Players who run only the first room are not playing the dungeons they way they are intended. SE modified the dungeons to encourage full runs and discourage first-room pulls. Essentially, first-room pulls were an exploit, SE recognized this fact, and took measures to correct it. This is a "solid" reason.

    Is this a "good" reason? That's entirely subjective. I don't really care one way or another; never really bothered with first-room pulls, because exp flows like water in this game whether or not you squeeze out a few extra per hour with oddball strategies like this.

    The reasons was stated. The developers didn't like that people were not going through the full dungeon that they painstakingly worked for so they changed the way experience would work. The developers wanting you to play the game they created in the way they intended it to be (running a full dungeon and not half assing it) should be reason enough. Maybe it's not the best or fair to all players especially those without as much time but what can you do?

Leave the rest of us who enjoy the game as it is play and read the forums without seeing you bitch and moan every 5 mins.
