I never minded those "1st room only" runs even if I never cared to do that myself... As long as it's done via party finder, to get a full group of like-minded, I think it's a great thing. But to go in via DF and then just leave once you got what you came for? Not even counting the 30 minute lockout for leaving (which doesn't really sound efficient), that's a really shitty thing to do when you don't know if the others in the group are there for the same reason.

That said, I still think it's a pretty good change. Personally, I've never minded the "slaughter everything in sight" approach if there are two or more in the group still levelling -- I ended up in Brayflox normal the other day on a low roulette with three levelling people, and we killed everything. (I do ask people "go straight for the boss, or kill everything for moar exp?", and if people say "straight to boss, please", I'll go with that of course.) But I can understand that not everyone is of that opinion and would rather skip as many of the mobs as possible to make it a shorter run. And for those runs, the people still levelling now get more exp than they would have previously.

I think they should go even harsher and put the last boss with the biggest XP of them all LOL, this way people have to clear the entire dungeon. Anything and everything to prevent speed runners or those abusive people trying to take advantage the system for the sake of "speed leveling everything".

Honestly, if you are in low level dungeon trying to get XP, you are far better off killing every single creature there. Why skip them? Isn't the point you are there is to level up and not skipping every mobs so you can get less xp?

Bit of a contradiction here. If they put that much on last boss, why bother killing any trash at all. Speedrun the shit out of the dungeons in that case.

Or, maybe, ya know... don't try to enforce your playstyle on others? Dungeons, to me, are boring as hell. Whatever makes leveling through them less painful, I'll take.

Soooooo, why are you playing the game? Why are you getting to max level?
That doesn't really make sense. The reason you want to get to end-game is to run end-game dungeons. Yet you hate running dungeons.
    So yeah... WHAT? O.o

Not endgame dungeons, primal fights and coil are what I like... And hopefully non-joke-mode Alex too. The dungeons are just an unfortunate necessity to gear up for those.

Actually as far as i can tell each dungeon had a story/history as well. One that can be fun to learn in fact. And most of the time you don't learn much from the very first room of a dungeon

It is a good solution to the issue of people going in with the mindset that they will just walk in do the first room then leave and potentially make things harder for the party they were in, this encourages people to kill everything in the dungeon to get the exp that they want and to play dungeons the way that they were supposed to be played.. don't like the change? Fate run.

Some people are going through dungeons for the first time and need a party that is actually going to stick around for the whole thing..

For me the change to dungeon exp misses the issue entirely , they chose to address people farming trash mobs in dungeons for fast exp which is just a symptom of people being bored and feeling disengaged with the levelling process . Fact is these people have and will just find the next most efficient way to gain exp/hr regardless of wether it is in Squares vision of how people should play their game or not.

My opinion is make the intended levelling process smoother and more engaging and this wouldn't even be an issue

The intended leveling process is smooth as butter. For the first job, that is.
The more jobs you level, the more tedious it gets. But that's COMPLETELY understandable, you are repeating the EXACT same thing over and over again.
Leveling every single job, and thus having to min-max the exp/hour without quests, that's what's not really intended.

So if you end up dying just as the boss/final boss is killed, you get nothing. Well played.
