    This is something i've been talking about for awhile now, because of inventory space and the way i quicksynth certain items i've always ended up discarding the odd 2hq that i received out of it to free up inventory space. Same goes for gathering.

    Now nothing goes to waste i absolutely LOVE this feature!.

    I know I will, for when I'm gathering for that mass quick-synth I'm going to do anyway, it's one less inv slot I could be using.

    I remember back in beta, going "I don't really need these HQ items, can I have the ability to turn them into NQ to save space?" and that has only become more true with time, and it's finally happened.

    Have a feeling this could pertain to airship crafting, since they do use lower quality items it's possible that those who know they can HQ without needing HQ mats will want to save space by condensing what they obtain into one slot rather than have NQ and HQ of an HQ they don't need.

    There are several occasions (usually associated with turn-ins) that getting a HQ means having to do even more work instead of finishing an objective.

    Anyone else have to catch 4 Olgoi-Khorkhoi because you fished up a HQ instead of a NQ for your Supra Rod?

    Oh this is maybe the reason they put this feature. Also when you suddenly craft HQ for supra token.

    I usually get my retainers to get my glamour materials and this will be useful. Like making a stack of cloth for glamour prisms and quick synth giving you hq but you dont need em. Just convert to nq and use up 1 stack instead of 2 to store in you inventory/fc box/retainer.

    Or keeping some reagents like alumen, black alumen, etc because they're used for multiple synths.
