I beleive the "theory" was dex for parry, and Str of course for block. Im assuming this is a direct result from changes made to abilities like sheild swipeAny tank worth their salt is already asking "exactly what" attributes, in the parry change.
Changes to other stats are announced. I fail to see how this one can't be announced...and if it's kept like this after 3.0 release, i.e. "lol test it yourself", then I seriously am going to shake my head at Yoshi-P and ask him, "WTF?"
No list of achievement changes!!!! ARGH! If they wanted to hide the titles to prevent spoilers then fine but what are the new achievements for? Will there for instance be new tiers on some of the old ones? If so, they could at least have listed those.

To be fair, if they're not buying the expansion and leveling to 60 this could be seen as a noticeable nerf. And it will still technically be a nerf until level 54-ish when you get a better weapon anyway.
Of course, that's all pointless because if you're not buying the expansion you're gonna be left in the dust in terms of content, and nobody really should care about the finer points of stat balance while leveling.

Biggest disappointment. Probably no new ways to get materia. Still just spiritbinding nonsense. Lowering the exp on normal mobs in a dungeon cause everyone's always trying to skip them anyway. Now they'll try even harder.
