    Considering that we were given the second most powerful DoT combo, skillspeed can be far higher in our stat priority, now

    Certain attributes no longer affect parry or block.

    === Testing
    Strength has no effect on Block and Parry strength now.
    Using Aegis Zeta, Block was consistent 30% and Parry 20%.

    This is down on 4-6% depending on the strength gear that was equipped before as well as the party composition.

    This equates to about 40-60 damage more damage taken on 1k hits.

    I have metrics for Dex, but it due to changes in gear since I made them, I don't know if I will be able to reproduce.

    In a STR build I block for 1% more than I do in my melds, which is pretty much the same as before the change (btw. I am blocking for between 24% and 27% in Aegis Shield, not 30% so something else is off). It just seems everything was reduced about 10% across the board.

    Parry is always 20% for me.

    I can confirm the same that there seems to be some function of (player level / mob level) affecting block. I have seen more variation, especially when fighting the larger bosses.

    Are you sure this is accurate, doesn't the tooltip still say STR affects block and parry?

    I can confirm this. My Dragoon used to be able to mitigate 30% on parry, now it can only mitigate 20% - same as other tanks I have asked. Tooltips were not updated at all, sadly.

    The Japanese tooltip on STR say it affects melee attack power of <a list of weapon types>. No mention of parry nor block in the STR tooltip.

    DoTs scaling on skillspeed isn't going to make PLD want it any more. The only thing PLD has to conserve TP is Shield Swipe, and that's not enough. More skillspeed just means you'll run out of TP faster.

    We need testing on the new enmity boost of Shield Swipe. If you can spam it during your Bulwark duration or every Sheltron proc withtout losing aggro, you could save a lot of TP in the long run.
    Besides, we can hope that damage scales better than GCD, so we could do far more damage without starving too early.
