    Stats adjustments

Player attributes have been adjusted as follows:
Skilspeed and spellspeed now affect damage over time and healing over time effects.
The effect of determination on auto-attacks has been reduced.
Critical hit rate now affects damage dealt with a critical strike.
Certain attributes no longer affect parry or block.

    Skill Speed:

this is really good, however not sure if it will make it tick faster or just the ticks does more dmg

    Det:

never saw this coming, the nerf to det lol;/
depends on how bad its, might have to stack chr mostly especially on how it changed too

    Crit:

interesting change, now its even better!

    Parry/block:

not sure what they were thinking here tbh, the scaling of parry were already so bad now its even worse since STR/DEX does literally nothing to it "more useless i guess instead of fix lol"

Considering how drk has scourge, salt the earth, delirium and maybe other over time effects, maybe DRK will lean more on skill speed. Maybe even more so with how reliant on MP they will be, if one of them involves constant MP drain on server tick, like the meta becomes getting X many hits in and turning off that MP drain effect before you go over Y ticks or zero mp.

Kinda curious about how the STR/DEX ("Certain attributes no longer affect parry or block." how its phrased so hard to read into it properly) nerf really helps make the parry stat any more useful lol. I guess it could make VIT more relevant though, maybe, kinda.... XD People were str stacking for the damage more than anything so in that regard i don't think it will affect much of anything, but we do have to keep in mind this change brings about a mitigation nerf across the entirety of the "stat" not just what you gained from stacking str on the right side (Accessories). Wont affect the way grps deal with tank killers but could dramatically change the way the rest of an encounter plays out stat wise for the sake of better base mitigation/survival.

The Crit change sounds pretty fun to be honest, specially for BLM. Will be interesting to see that one in actual play.Det/crit stacking could lead to some awesome numbers on crit hits. Wether said numbers are enough to match or beat SS we'll have to see.

Det change to auto attack honestly doesn't seem to bad for melee dps imo. Kinda reads more like a nerf to its value to tanks.

(should note they also mention changes to existing skills across the board so those might be potency related)

In regards to critical hit stats, im wondering if its keeping the: higher rate = higher crit frequency. If so, that stacked with directly effecting damge of critical hits. On top of the skillspeed adjustments. Finding the prefect balance of crit/Str/SS might make for some good fun. Assuming Str will always be linked with damage output so I don't see any other changes they can make

I suspect that the changes to Crit, Det and Skill/Spell Speed are to help normalize the substat weights at 60.

Consider that, save for Bard that had Bloodletter that procs off Crits, DoW Substat priority was Det > Crit > Skill Speed damage-wise.

Str and Dex loosing their mitigation influence is likely to reduce confusion.

Changes for DET and SS do that, the change to CRT does the opposite. DET and SS are linear - CRT is exponential (as in the more you have, the better it gets). That's not balancing.

Everything in this game is linear. Linear = the more you have, you will see a straight gain. Every stat works like this. Crit is not exponential
