If there are so many new items that they can't list them in the patch notes, what does that say about our far more limited inventory space as of the moment?

The amount of space may be no different, but the amount of things to fit in that space has grown.

Edit: I've seen in other threads claiming the Japanese notes say we will have 3 free retainers (with the option to purchase additional retainers for a maximum of 8) when the expansion rolls out.

Well all I have to say is.

All those players who wanted fantasia to be sold in a cash shop opened this box up. When the mount was put up forsale folks said well its just cosmetic who cares. No one complained much for the 2 retainers when they was added. This will only continue with cash shop items.

You get what you ask for and more everytime. So enjoy and stop whinning!

Wish they would do like in ffxi. Have quest's you can do to gradually increase your inventory space, and just keep expanding it over time.

Why can't they announce these kinds of things BEFORE people preorder? =/

I'm sorry. I couldn't help it lol. But seriously though, no marketer would want to do something that silly. Release info that could influence sales = leave it to the last moment. As an another example, still no dev response on the entire Au Ra horns linked to face type.

Yes, most of us would still buy it. But bad publicity can still lower sales by a small margin.
