Housing in Ishgard?

Square enix doesn't give one flip or another about housing. The housing forums have been overflowing with suggestions, ideas, and pleas from day 1 and none of them are acknowledged.

Don't even waste your time thinking about it.

They will start caring when someone from the financial department starts to question why they are paying for housing servers that contain 90% inactive accounts.

I saw mention of market boards but no new housing wards. Is this a thing? Not that it would apply to me, will new players ever get the chance to buy a house? That being said... I would like the opportunity to buy a house to participate in house only content (but no plot exist for my FC to buy...) ._.

They answered thus question when Heavensward was first announced last summer. "Ishgard is a war-torn nation at a constant state of war." You wouldn't build a house on aperpetual battlefield.
