I have another concern with that picture... and it kinda bugged me since they announced Astrologian.

Doesn't the Arcanist's icon look like a star globe? So that should have been more like the Astrologian's icon, then change the Arcanist's to resemble more like a book?

Totally off topic (and not a big deal), but I think it's dumb they listed the new jobs as "Extra Jobs," instead of just putting them with the others in Disciples of War and Magic.

Personally I would rather have had them labeled "Advanced Jobs" than Extra Jobs. But that's just my rose tinted XI goggles maybe.

honestly tho imo its just gonna fill the bar at 60 but unable to level up to 61 etc alot of games do that

FFXIV V1 did that, then they removed it with ARR. I can't see them bringing it back. Those test characters probably didn't level up, they most likely inserted EXP values to the database until it hit 60. Thus it could bypass the code check of if character = 60, give 0 EXP.

my old game did that level 149-150 was about 75 billion exp that was 6 months of grinding without buyin access to special areas via item mall,,, u were capped at max experince unable to level... the catch = if u died without buyin n item mall scroll to prevent exp loss in wars etc u lost 5% exp each death lol sooo do the math :P so glad they dont have that here lol

Nah, its nothing special, it showed up like that when yoshi was on his blm during 2.0 showings as well. its just part of the dev structure i think that doesnt limit xp upon max level.

i think its funny, it's like they finally realized that their system has a lot of flaws and instead of turning it around they patch it up here and there. Let's see what 4.0 will bring to the table.
