Should be fine. I'm fairly certain that while pulsing MP/TP regen the turrets cannot fire anyway, and if you want to aoe again you can just pick it up and put it in range to aoe instead of pulse resource gain.
Any word on whether Machinist will use piercing or blunt damage?
Did they say if Machinist's will share gear with Bard's? Or anything else for that matter?
I find it likely that a lot of existing Bard gear would be adapted to Machinist (like CT/ST gear).. most likely for the same sets where they had Monk gear be shared with Ninja by adding Dexterity. Which explains why they would have done that vs. have it share gear with Bards, knowing that in the future there would be some shared Bard/Machinist gear. Rather than upon HW release, having Ninja, Machinist and Bard shared amongst the three classes. But future stuff will most likely be seperate, such as how they gave Ninja its own WoD gear with WoD being released after Ninja. Something I noticed that makes me think that is the i100/i110 PVP sets for Machinist are a reskin of the Bard set (but still seperate as is the gear for all jobs with that set... even SCH/WHM have seperate gear when it comes to those sets. I'd be surprised if they shared gear for anything above lvl 50, but at least I'll get more mileage out of my accessories.
