Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Lol I wore my wedding dress also. It's the only nice dress I own.
Not really into dudes so no, does nothing for me. He is a well written character though, but the story itself is well done.
I have yet to do the 3.4 storyline (originally I waited because I hate doing the story when 800 people are standing around doing the same, just ruins my immersion..), but now I'm just waiting because I'm torn to proceed with this dinner everyone is talking about xD
I want this so badly..but if I do it, it's over
Edit: Okay, I finally did it. I'm not so desperate that I would..I mean, that wedding dress was JUST because my 500 other beautiful dresses weren't quite beautiful enough...it's not like I spent 2 hours at the barber and finding the perfect outift..I would never want to romance a charac- OMG PLEASE MARRY ME SER AYMERIC (♥︎~♥︎)
*clears her throat*
Ahem. Nothing to see here, move along ^^°

So...anyone else really hoping that he'll start a Grand Company of Ishgard soon, so that we can serve under him (think about the gear we'd get too!)
While neither I nor my character is into guys (Balipu wants Yugiri but is leaning towards Alisae after her recent development) I still think that Aymeric is one of the most awesome NPCs we have. He is easily the most active of the city state leaders and still thanks us all the time for our help.
Him asking us to join him for dinner needn't be anything romantic, I think he was just trying to be nice and express his gratitude.
...I do enjoy that we can "..." and "Must I?" when it comes to him trying to reach out to us, though. I always choose those options just because I am curious how the game will respond.
Aymeric is certainly one of the smoothest and most charismatic characters. I almost hoped he'd become King, rather than seeing Ishgard reformed into a Republic. At this point I'd just be happy to see a new Archbishop come into the scene who is actually a decent person, and serves in an advisory capacity, so Aymeric can go out and do Grand Company things with an Ishgard Grand Company.
Hold on Aymeric, currently you are the only prince-like guy keeping companion with the Warrior of Light.
Haurchefant gone, Estinien missing, Alphinaud is a child I don't want to commit crime, Thancred is weeping for Minfilia with his single eye. Urianger? He just wore his mask back.
All the romantic fantasy bonded, as idol of the whole Ishgard, you are busy, very busy.
When you were finally free to ask me to dinner, I saw you flying a kite. You tried to ask about me, but never gave a clear promise.
Keep on, keep on. Keep on your ploughing around, until SE carries out another prince. (Sigh
