Like I said. As if the Ascians have any baring on what is Balance. And they need a Warrior of Darkness? We barely managed to kill one of them. XD Its hard to come up with that much Aether to slice another in two.

Well we don't know who are the Warriors of Darkness. So far people have only assumed the Ascians are the WoD because they serve Zodiark but the trailer implies that the Ascians may not be the WoD but the WoD are possibly another group of people separate from the Ascians.

I can only guess the WoD are only appearing now because Zodiark is awakening so he has enough power now to choose the WoD like how Hydaelyn choose our character to be the WoL.
