Why don't they revive the Scions are Twelve story?

This is a throwback to 1.0 and it really bugs me that they subtly kept doing it with only 1 small change in casting up to 2.55. Each of the Scions have a blatant descriptive parallel to which of the Twelve they supposedly are manifestations of. Even Yugiri came onto the scene representing one of the remaining missing deities. Moonbryda obvious they changed name and gender on but kept the race accurate at least. But I don't see why they kept on this path but have done nothing with it. Maybe it's a 4.0 thing? It just claws at me that it's right there in front of us.

Funny, I only remember The Archons being regrenced as the twelve by one 1.0 npc in the minner's guild just before 1.23b ended. Never heared is even vaugly refrenced in ARR.

Yeah it was just part of a quest but the similarities between the gods and the Scions is too blatantly and perfectly matched to not have meaning. It can't be 12 coincidences.

Nymeia is Yugiri (the veiled woman)
Nald'Thal is The Twins (Nald and Thal are two twin beings)
Halone is Yda (the warrior and 1/2 of the bff duo)
Oschon is Papalymo (walking stick and the other half of the bff duo)
Byregot is Cid (the builder)
Azeyma is Minphilia (the noble woman in charge of inquiry)
Nophica is Yshtola (the woman of the land represented with sprig leaves)
Althyk is Urianger (the keeper)
Rhalgar originally was a Roegadyn that was off on a mission but would be back someday. And looks who waltzes back in, our favorite Roegadyn Moonbryda.

Who are these twins you referred to, to represent Nald'Thal. The only twins I recall in the game are the lala sons of the roe who owns the miners guild. Did I miss anyone?

Edit: wait no, I am dumb, I know who you mean, so stupid of me, lol. I forget about Alisaie because she wasn't in the main story much, lol.

On a side note what about bigs or wedge could they be anyone. Or maybe Llymlaen is Iceheart. I mean, she has the echo, and is trying to "guide" you on the "right" path. And Llymlaen was the "Navigator", seems fitting.

Huh, that is kinda interesting at least, though I'm not sure I'd like it story-wise so much, it just feels awkward to literally be next to the avatar of gods especially after watching all the various bad things occur to them. Perhaps they could rework it less of a "The Scions are the twelve" to a "Each Scion is a chosen Warrior for that member of the Twelve."

Hmmm, you left out that G'raha Tia also has parallels to Oschon (wanderer, wields a bow), and the only reason he's out of the running is for the same sort of giant disposable Mac Guffin fu-screw you reason as Moenbryda. And Ramnbroes is a Roeg from the Circle of Knowing, but those days are behind him.

It'll be interesting if the current cast does line up in a way that gets addressed in game, but I won't hold my breath. It could also be the sort of thing (think Lady in the Water) where the way we think people match up and the way the actually turn out are completely different.

Problem being out of the people on that list only 7 are Archons. One of those Archins is dead, 5 of unknown fate, and one of the non-acrhons ia dead as well.

They arnt gods if they died. Now I'll buy that the Archons are selected by the twelve but its been preaty much figured out that the archons are not the twelve.

And Louosoux is Phoenix too so he's a primal not a member of the 12.
