Simply put, we don't know.

More elaborately, the Warrior of Light is the PC, who can be any race or sex and has a vague backstory. The only thing that marks us as the "Warrior of Light" is Hydaelyn's favor; if that's true, the "Warrior of Darkness" is likely similar, albeit with Zodiark's favor instead.

Even that's just speculation, though.
