Seems that somebody got bit by the adventurer bug, or this is just an NPC fake out played by SE

I dont think that passive Tree Hugger will go all active out of nowhere. Why should she? We are not like "Heya guy's i lost my light power can't help you with the primal problem anymore sucks to be you!" We hide it, because it could mean a loss of Support if they knew we are less more useful.
@Dalvy: I think thats Hauchefant...
Inb4 it's G'raha Tia. (Not. I can dream.)
I'm more than a little curious to see how the MASSIVE ALLAGAN DEATH-FORTRESS ties into the rest of the Allagan lore on the table, and the look on Cid's face when he sees it. Amon's FFIII counterpart, Hein, was responsible for building that game's Floating Continent, so I wonder if they plan to keep the FFIII-references alive in the lore going forward.
Gahh, I'm watching the trailer in a loop. It drives me crazy, Who are the voices?
The narrator at the begining is not quite Thordan
So, the dragons are comming - sounds inhuman, but probably not a dragon
Followed by someone. Estinien?
We have a girl praising someone, and a man responding.
We have dreamy voiced woman who merges with Lahabrea. Lassbrea?
And of course there at the very end is someone who recruits the warrior of darkness.
Who are these people?
Except Hein had nothing to do with the Floating Continent in III. He was a court sorcerer sleeper agent, who eventually went batshit and uprooted the Elder Tree to use as his personal mobile fortress. He was (presumably) an agent of Xande, sent to the Floating Continent to bring it down... he was in no way responsible for the Floating Continent.I'm more than a little curious to see how the MASSIVE ALLAGAN DEATH-FORTRESS ties into the rest of the Allagan lore on the table, and the look on Cid's face when he sees it. Though it might still tie into the Crystal Tower, since both seem to be Allagan tech, and Cid's face will probably still be priceless when he sees it descend.

Narrator at the beginning sounds like the Pope, then Aymeric. Then it's the Pope speaking to us.Gahh, I'm watching the trailer in a loop. It drives me crazy, Who are the voices?

I'll take a guess and say Alphinaud got a new actor.
Next one sounds very dragon-like but it could be the beast tribe friendly leader, for all we know.
It just may be Estinien speaking afterward, since it's a new one.
I'm pretty sure that is Lahabrea speaking about the Echo, and Elidibus speaking to the Warrior of Darkness.
edit:
Heh you're right. He's on Cid's ship with us. Haurchefant REALLY wants to stay by our side now, if being frantic & held back by several men upon hearing we faced Shiva is any indicator.

Huh. You're entirely right, of course, but I'm trying to remember what it was I read on the FF Wiki that led me to think otherwise. Not coming to me. /shrug
Back on track:
FFIII's Floating Continent was made by Xande, and kept afloat by the Tower of Owen, which was left in the custody of Owen's son Desch, who's forgotten "destiny" was to repair it when it malfunctioned, saying his final farewells to our heroes in the process. FFXIV gave us a mashup version in the Crystal Tower, complete with a (sorta indirectly) amnesiac Ancient, but managed to (thus far) leave out any mentions of a Floating Continent.
Though I'll admit it would be cool, I'm actually reluctant to let myself believe too strongly that either the Crystal Tower or FFXIV's own "Desch" will have anything to do with it, even with Final Fantasy's long history of characters left in stasis and released offscreen later. They are connected in FFIII (sorta), so could be in XIV, but I'm unsure if they mean to play FFIII and FFVI cards in the same hand. Especially since there are still people who call FFVI "FFIII."
Out-of-context quote from a famous American fantasy author: "I should have used the magic sword." I have a feeling it'll apply in the story to come.
Someone threw forward the idea that it could be corrupted Minfilia. I do quite like that one. That was Lahabrea. It would seem his machination in having Ysayle merge with Shiva was an experiment for something he wanted to try himself. The voice of whatever is merging with him sounds a lot like Hydaelyn but immediately before that scene the camera conspicuously focuses on a statue of Halone so I'm more inclined to believe it's her.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
Looks like we're getting the original Ascians back, or at least some mixture of the old and new?
That new hood forming looks very similar to me. Those look like the same bone wings coming out his back, too.
The "true" power of the Echo? Why am I now expecting there to be a point where Minfilia does something similar, but instead of having a reaper like appearance, she gets an angelic one...
Also, Kan-E-Sanna asking the "great ones" to "give themselves" to the lifestream to find a drifting soul? Oh god, please don't revive a certain someone... Let it be the soul of Raubahns arm or something...

As far as "who's speaking" goes: it leads with Thordan VII and Aymeric, into Thordan VII again, into an apparently new Alphinaud (where's Sam Riegel) into a very unclear voice (though given the context, I suspect it might be Edmund Fortempts), into clearly Estinen. Then Ravana, of course, and then Varis. Then Merlwyb, who I actually think is the same actress, just a bit more quiet and downbeat to match the situation (she's usually been a bit more bombastic in her spoken sections to date), then Kan-E (ofc) then I think Iceheart? And then Estinen again. And then Estinen AGAIN as the continent comes down, then Thordan VII again, and then Lahabrea with a new voice, and then... I can't even guess. :V Finally Lahabrea again, followed by who I suspect is Elidibus.
I guess we'll find out in a few days! Remain at maximum hype.
Always remember, please be careful.
