If you checked the patch note, you'd realize how trivial it is to get Poetics in 3.0.

Especially if you farm the "high level" dungeons with less than 4 ppl at lvl 60. 3 lvl 60s can probably steamroll that content for the poes

It's daft to think that Zeta is gonna end up being just a glamour item. After spending hours months weeks farming. the more reasonable thing to do is to either exchange the weapon for a piece needed for the new relic, or worst case escenario present your weapon zeta to someone in ishgard to receive a special and unique item.

How long did you farm for the original Relic? 24 mobs and a few errands, plus 5 trails. It could have been done in a week's time. Then after 3 weeks of normal play you get to upgrade it to the Zenith, and you have a BiS weapon that lasted until T5, i.e. end of the patch. You should not discount this benefit you got during the "hours months weeks farming".

True, if you've only started last month and rushed through it to get the zeta, you would've felt cheated because you had more trouble farming it while it never provided you with any benefit until at least the Nexus stage. Even worse if you had other weapons. But that is because you were rushing something that was a year-long content.

The benefits of the relic are already give to us. Anything in 3.1 should be regarded as extra.

It's just to allow people to glamour the different stages of the relic progression. Some people, for example, prefer the Nexus glow over the Zeta glow. The replica will have very bad stats, they are purely for glamour.

And Yoshi-P verbally clarified that this replica is not the advantage or consideration that will be given to the Zeta holders. It's rather just a QoL addition.

That was a misinterpretation on my part. Zeta will still be a great weapon to have and last you through most of the 50-60 process. What I got wrong is they are having a replica of the zeta weapon you can use as a glamor that has crappy stats but the look people want. getting the actual zeta is now easier to get because it is being replaced by a newer one.
