    MSQ req for DK ?????

so how far exactly i need to get in MSQ to be able to create a Dark Knight ?

just asking because i read that it has a lvl30 any class requirement only and thats lame if i need to do lvl50 story quests to even go to the place where i can train it out.....

WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THIS !

whats the point of one week early access preorder bonus like this to begin with ????

pls tell me i don't need to suffer through the Riotblade spam all the way to 50 on my Glad/Pal if i want a DK this week......................

    I don't know what's worse...
That you use DK instead of DRK.
That you don't know that DRK is a job from Ishgard and that strangers aren't allowed to come in.
    That you spam riot blade.

Btw you have to complete MSQ up to 2.55.

You have to clear the 2.55 story to get into Ishgard, which is where the DRK guild is. You shouldn't even be spamming Riotblade on PLD anyhow, it's meant for getting MP back and that's it.

Edit: lololink beat me to it

You are late to the discussion, my friend.

You need to complete all the story up to patch 2.55 so you can gain access into Ishgard where the 3 new jobs will be in.

To me early access(5 days), is for those who already complete the story line.

You do have to suffer Riot blade spam all the way to 50 and might have to earn enough item level to get into the last fight of the 2.55 story line. Was it iLv90?

Its not a lvl 30 requirement. Those jobs start at 30. There is a difference. With that said. You need do all the quests up to the end of 2.55. (and maybe one other... who knows what sends you forward into Ishgard... where the Job DRK, AST, MCH all start at)

You're not the first to say that they've read that there's a level 30 requirement to unlock the job.
I have no idea where you guys are getting that information, since what you also have (correctly) read is true. You need to finish the main scenario quest, all of it, which means you'll need to be level 50.

You do, because this is a story based game, which means you need to complete the story currently out, to have the time advance when Ishguard will allow you into their kingdom, if you don't like story based games, go elsewhere.

damn I'm tired of people complaining about this.

because yoshi p said the only requirement for the jobs themselves is lvl30, then later added since they are in ishgard they require whatever it takes to get into ishgard too.

DK = Donkey Kong? Great Ape confirmed for Heavensward 3.1! Please look forward to it.

But, seriously... as a Paladin myself I worry for your parties. Savage Blade builds aggro, so use it. It doesn't hurt as much as Riot Blade, but it benefits the team more. It's early days yet, so I can understand wanting to use your 'strongest' attack more frequently than the others. Next level brings Rage of Halone, which not only deals significantly more damage than Riot Blade, it also combos off Savage Blade. So it's good to get into the habit of using it more and arranging your hotbar appropriately.

As for Dark Knight, yes. You'll need to have completed the main story all the way to 2.55 (that means doing considerably more than merely pushing back the Garleans). Once done, you'll understand why the restriction for Ishgard is in place assuming you pay even the slightest attention to the storyline.

My advice? Don't rush the game. Take your time to enjoy all of it. The endgame is a grindy mess currently, and there's nothing to suggest it won't be the same once Heavensward's story is done. There will be plenty of time for grind, so take some time to enjoy the scenery while you're playing. You'll get more out of it in the long run. Ultimately, we play games to enjoy them so why not enjoy all of it rather than only the latter half?

I don't get why people whine about something locked behind an expansion.

I mean, it's a progression stuff. If you want to get something cool, you have to go through a couple of easier stuffs first.

If you can't even tank Aurum Vale properly... I mean what does DRK has that will make you better?

That dark, cool-looking greatsword? Or the fact that it looks way cooler than the other ones?

Remember. The grass ALWAYS looks greener on the other side.

But hey, it's your opinion. I'm supposed to respect that so carry on.
