Glad to see most people are all for an early predownload, let's hope SE somehow takes this into account

It would make sense for them to allow downloads days prior to the early access period. I mean, you're looking at some 300k+ people downloading a pretty good chunk of data. There is no real reason not to do it.

The worry about data mining isn't really that big of a deal.

I feel ya. I've got Comcast which advertises up to 12MB/s speeds and I only get 400kb/s downloading patches. I'm going to have to swing by my parent's place where they get 6MB/s on patches and download to my laptop and download on my home computer at a later date.

Considering the all-world maintenance is happening on the 18th and into early morning on the 19th, I don't see how we'll be able to pre-download it. Although I reaaaally hope we'll be able to patch the day before.
