Equipment Macros post 1.19 for Main/sub slots.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I did do a few equipment macro searches but nothing seemed to cover the issue I am currently experiencing.

Ever since 1.19 , none of my equipment macros work. I have changed them to reflect the "dated" addition to each name

ie. /equip main "Ornate Silver Scepter" is now /equip main "Dated Ornate Silver Scepter"

The issue is.. it actually will not 'trigger'. I have it set to my Crtl-1 key. I press it, i see my log fill with all my /equip command lines.. and no change.

So I started testing things by making a few test macros.

I have a new Linen hat so I made a macro of /equip head "Linen Hat" and sure enough this one worked fine.

I made another one.. /equip body "Ul'dahn Gown" and it worked fine.
A final test I tried was doing another /equip body but it was "Dated Velveteen Gown (Black)" and this one worked also as long as I was on a DoM class mind you.

Have they completely turned off the functionality for /equip main macros? I don't have a new 'non dated' named weapon to test further but am curious to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

Typing in item and slot names is a terrible way to change gear, period. Historically macros were generally for doing multiple actions in a row, not changing gear, but FFXI's gear-swapping changed our mentality there.

Just let us save out snapshots of our gear builds and swap to them immediately - it's like they forgot we're playing the game on computers, or something.

There is my proposal.

Short version: Save Gear Sets and Action Sets automatically to a button in the mini-menu, and tapping that swaps everything out... not just six lines' worth, requiring you to use multiple macros for one change or spend a bunch of time fiddling around in the other menus.

This also makes it much easier and less error-prone to update your swaps in the future. Got new gear? Just save a new snapshot over the old one, and you're done.
