I agree that the field music leaves something to be desired more often than not.

Everything else more than makes up for it tho.

It's an opposite of XI where I felt that battle music just wasn't as good as it could be most of the time.

I'm actually surprised it took this long for a thread like this to pop up. I dont even play with the music on anymore, would be nice if they let you import a playlist or something, or at the very least give you the option to choose what songs to play in what region spanning different genre. That way you can at least keep it semi-fresh.

Does any one know if they plan on adding more exciting music themes? If not can they at least give us a way to change the theme music to something more exciting within the game files management like we could in FF11...I mean who ever chose the music for this game did a really bad job.

I mean, I hang about in Ulda'h most of the time and that theme is just soooo boorring, sooo slowww, soooo un-motivating. To be the main city where every one hangs out , it should be more exciting.

Dragons head...Sounds like the type of music you listen to when you go to a spa for relaxation...I mean yes lets kill deadly raptors and psych our selves up by listening to relaxation music.

Of course I can put on Itunes in the background, but then I am not fully immersed in the game now am I, and of course I can turn the music off, but then its just dead silence...which is even worse.

The music in this game is great. Sorry it isn't your cup of tea, but to each their own.

Pulse De Chocobo takes too long to build up and it doesn't sound right on those instruments.

This game's ost is about the only reason I'm playing it right now.

You know why square wants to make ffXIV better? Cause it's a same to have such an awesome sountrack with such an unfinished game ;p
