Don't care much at all about other types of mounts besides chocobos (no wow petting zoo thanks, lets keep it final fantasy).

I'd love to see breeding system with various colours and sizes of chocobos take priority over silly ridable random beasts.

Before they add in colored chocobos they have to figure out what their purpose is. Getting out the rental and personal chocobos, you should be happy about. Just a few weeks ago it was said that the personal chocobos might not make it in 1.19. Now they are! Maybe they had to edit down some plans (such as colored chocobos) in order to make this happen sooner.

Again, if you're going to add colored ones. You have to figure out what different abilities they will have while not being broken. (red crossing steep hills, blue running over lakes, ect)

I think having different colors for the sake of having them is not good enough. Might as well wait and figure something more clever out that has to do with their coloring.

I for one am very excited, I also hear that we can get gear and equip our chocobo's as well. Don't know if this will be in with 1.19 but that is also exciting. Gear for looks and for also helping take damage, and fight. Should be good times all around. Can't wait.

If you do implement a chocobo breeding system, please make it more like the one in FFVII and less like the one in FFXI.

FFVII's breeding system was way better than FFXI's.

There have been plenty of FF games that let players ride other types of mounts besides just chocobos. FFXIV won't be the first.

Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ride-able moogles! :3

One more thing, I hope the breeding system is not going to be like FFXI. iirc it took half a month to raise a chocobo to adult hood, and the results from it was lack luster because no matter what color they were, they was still slower than rental chocobos, and did nothing special.

Sure it took some time but my chocobo was a tad faster than the rentals. I understand the half a month thing but thats the nature of mmos some things take time. It wouldnt be raising a chocobo if the damn thing hatched from an egg and two secs later you expect to be blazing through the game riding the poor thing.
