Hey everybody! Foxclon was able to field a few questions on the upcoming personal chocobo system and I wanted to pass along those answers to you all.

Details about acquiring personal chocobos will be announced soon on Topics, but I will answer a few other questions in the meantime.

About the upcoming "Chocobo Growth" system, I want to ride around on the fastest chocobo! Please allow us to increase our chocobo's speed through training!

The current plan is to implement the ability to battle alongside chocobos in the future, so the growth system is being planned to train chocobos in preparation for battle.

We also plan on implementing other mounts in the future, so we will look into chocobo speed in conjunction with the other mounts.

Can we choose between male and female chocobos?

The personal chocobos being implemented this time will all be male.

Will there be color variations for chocobos?

The personal chocobos being implemented this time will all be yellow. We are looking into whether or not we will implement additional colors in the future, so please stay tuned for future updates.

Once patch 1.19 is implemented, and players begin to use chocobos, I'm sure there will be various other comments and requests. We look forward to receiving your feedback!

So, they're rescinding the old promise that our chocobo will be variously coloured, huh? 'Cause aways back it was pretty definitively said that chocobo of various colours would be in the game, not that they were 'looking into whether or not [they] will implement additional colours in the future'.

Honestly, as per the above, this whole thing will lose the vast majority of its appeal if it turns out they're leaving out stuff like breeding and just tacking on a generic mount system; I hope that's just a misread implication and it will indeed be coming later.
