Anyone else notice the blue aetheryte node looking thing in the video out in the far distance? I saw it maybe twice in the background of some of the clips...just curious if thats blue fog related but I don't think it is....and its way to far to be a camp I believe.

I think they should of put the animation in! Who cares if we would have to wait even longer for 1.19 which people are eagerly waiting for it's release.

Very nice video, it is good to see that chocobos are very fast and look worthwhile to use over spamming anima. Looks like personal chocobos are faster than rentals.

Omgawdddd. I'm SO excited about this! I need my chocobos! And it definitely does look like the rental one is a little slower than the personal chocobo which is fine. I just hope the personal chocobo isn't going to be some long drawn-out, time-consuming quest... And I also hope it's soloable. :3

I don't mind that it has no animation, although... that would be something cool to add later. =)

I also hope the personal chocobo isn't drawn out like it was in XI... that was horrid when they introduced it, awesome but so horrid. People exploited the market on the food's at outrageous prices on top of the fact it too 30 days to actually get the full adult version... (No Thanks!) lol

Exploitation will happen even more in XIV than it did in XI, it was only "exploiting" In XI because gil was worth something in that game. You also forgot to mention the only reason to raise a personal chocobo was for a colored one and Racing (much like in FFVII) so of course it took actual days in an MMO setting. It was drawn out but in the end it was something you raised.

XIV is aiming to be the most casual and easy going MMO to be released, I highly doubt it would take more than a day if that for a personal chocobo, so have no worries.

I'd like to see the system added in the coming months (maybe along with PS3) to get alternative colours/ or ones with ability's, but making the basic one just quests/marks based so people can chose to bother or not.

They've already stated that some forms of customization are coming. They said we'd be able to customize our personal chocobo's armor in 1.20 or 1.21, forgot which.
