Heavensward Data. Do I have this right?

I've been thinking about the data for Heavensward and I'm trying to understand how this will work. Let me know if I'm off.

There are 2 versions of HW: digital and physical. Both come with codes. These are keys allowing you into HW areas. You plug that sucker into your Mogstation and there you go.

Patch day will give everyone, including players that didn't buy HW, the assets and data and things. All you are essentially buying is the key to get in (and in game goodies).

Physical buyers have a CD. This CD is used to install some files into your machine so that the patching takes less time. The digital people have to suffer through all the files.

Is that about right?

I didn't see anything in the Collectors/Physical edition about a game disc. There is one with additional content but the game itself will be downloaded/updated by everyone from the servers regardless of which edition you obtained.

PS4 Pre-order Physical Codes get email out early Monday morning SE has just announced. This will give those users the code to put in on the PSN to allow them access on the 19th at 2am to download the game client and access Heavensward as long as all requirements are met to gain access to Ishgard.
PS3 Codes were still in testing phase and will go out after PS4 Codes have been handled successfully.
PC players I believe have already got their codes and are good to go to download client once available.
Good luck to all of us getting on at 2am...oh boy....please let me get on....LOL.

Except none of that is shown when you go to buy it on the SE store or on Amazon for that matter. When you select PC Download it just shows that you get the game sans special extra physical items. I'm fairly certain that mock-up image just showed the box because it's hard to visualize a digital download. Regardless you should be able to download once servers go down for maintenance.

Not sure how PC works but when I ordered the ARR CE for PS3 I got the disk but never had to use it.

Of course it's not going to be shown when you select game download, considering that's the digital version. I think "game case" makes it clear that it'll come with a disk, unless they intend on a game case with nothing inside which makes no sense.

If you order physical Collectors you will get the disk but you will not need to use it.
