Its makin me reset my password whenever I try to login via the laptop. Is there any way to make this a less painful process, so I can just login with my two machines without it thinking someones stealing my account?

It makes you reset your password because it's unsure as to the security of the 'new' login you perform when you use the laptop or PC after eachother. You can avoid this altogether if you get a security token, such as the physical token or smartphone app. If you don't want the 'hassle' of a one-time password then you're going to just have to live with reseting your password whenever you change computer.

Add a one time password to your account.

Is your laptop on wireless? It sounds like your IP address changes, which causes the system to see the login as a potential threat.
Go to your settings and give your laptop a static IP. You should be asked the next time you use it but then no more.

Chessala has it right. You don't need a security token or anything like that. I play on both desktop and laptop as well.

I play lap , desk , ps3 all from 1 router , no need change password . It ask change only if i not log in few weeks in row on any device .
