Prolly a dumb question but oh well

I keep seeing everybody talk about clicking off a beneficial buff (HoT) before a pull. How exactly is this done? Level 50 PLD here and i hate having to wait for a premature regen to expire before i start a big pull. I know I can simply say not to do it but some healers insist on doing it.

Am I missing a cross class skill or something? If so, which one am I failing to utilize?

A decent healer only pops a HoT when you have solid aggro/finish pulling the mobs. Welcome to lvl50 tanking, healers goof it up alot.

Yea i know that. I whm'd before tanking. Im all away of the aggro trouble with HoTs before a pull. I get there are people who are new so ill explain it ingame if i have to. I'll do it once nicely, twice is not so nice, then ill just let us wipe if theres a 3rd time. You can only explain something so many times...

Keep pressing select until the cursor goes up to your buffs.

Bring up virtual mouse mode by pressing L1+R3(pressing down on the right analog stick)

Once in virtual mouse mode, you can move the mouse with the analog stick, hover on the buff and hit R2. This will remove the buff. You can exit virtual mouse mode by pressing L1+R3 again.

After this doing this you must immediately buy a PS4. It will benefit not only your game play but your real life too.

I know that. Its one of the first things you learn. I just didnt know i had to manually click the buff off instead of using a skill to do it.

Oh trust me... a ps4 is definately in my future. I cant imagine how much easier things will be with it.
