Yes but that doesn't apply to "GENERAL DISCUSSION", that branch topic in the forums is meant for players to talk about whatever they wish to talk about. They shouldn't call it General Discussion if they don't want us to talk about other things not related to FFXIV. Should call it "FFXIV DISCUSSION".

I bet the mods get a kick out of closing or locking a thread. Kinda like poking an ant hill with a sledge hammer and watching them rush out and attack everything in sight. Though the last thread had some negative comments about yoshi and SE, not sure why they closed the ffxiv ps3 beta one (assuming it was fake).

The one by user234509u8564098340983450987564 was him just insulting yoshi and S.E, perfectly good reason to close it. The PS3 beta one was fake, therefore misleading and good reason to close. The other one though, I dunno, maybe because everyone's comment in it was basically that they didn't like the system Yoshi was talking about it was misinterpreted as players taking a bash at him where really is was more like a debate but where everyone agreed on the same thing.
