Will servers be expanded for expansion launch?

One thing that freaks me out is that I nearly always get a queue when logging into balmung. And right now, not -that- many people seem to be playing.

If the population doubles when the expansion is released, will servers with heavy populations (like balmung) be able to handle the load?

I get disconnected a lot, and it would really suck if I couldn't complete a dungeon because of a 20min+ queue wait each time I have to log back in. Even now I occasionally miss out on a dungeon if I D/C near the end, due to the occasional long queue.

What is your queue like? Whenever I get a "world full, try again later" message, when I try again right away it lets me in.
My connection isn't the best, either, so I was just wondering.

Sometimes 30seconds, sometimes a couple minutes

I just remember all the issues at 2.0 launch

And remember people being scared to log out

I got it every time I try to log and just cancel click again and tada!

Thats what those servers get for players moving from medium and low server to those servers BECAUSE it has most people for faster queues and way more groups in party finder.

This will be a hard few weeks for those servers, but then they will reign top for popularity soon.

I'm on balmung.......and its full almost everyday when something new is posted. only time its not is really late at night o r weekday mornings. weekends-always full

yeap... Que never goes over 100 people unless there is a server blackout/crash, but it is often at least 10 and at most I wanna say 60 people in "Que" ahead of me.

I can see those on Balmung being concerned with this. And I'll probably be part of the problem since me nad my friends will be no-lifing to 60 on launch <_<

I'm fearful of the launch as well, being on Balmung.

The launch of 2.0 was horrendous and just over the top nerve racking trying to log in. With new people continuously transfering to Balmung from Low pop servers, I can only imagine the disaster being ten times as bad as 2.0's launch.

Well that's what happens when you roll on a legacy server. They need to lock them for a good long while.
