Hate it, but why is everyone taking Yoshi's '3-months' as a literal statement that's how it will be in the future?

I have seen very little tied down to any solid number since he took over the helm, so I would wager you'll get four.

I don't see many people taking Yoshida-san's statement literally(I DO see many people assuming others are taking it literally though). I see a thread asking "What IF this happened? - how would you feel about it? Like or dislike?" Not saying "This will happen for sure! /raaaaage!"
