RMT Gil Spammers are OUT OF CONTROL

SE, since some people mention this isn't a problem on their server, can you at least tell us which servers you care about? I am totally willing to pay you ~$100 USD to move to a server that doesn't get too much gil spam.

Maybe SE can start advertising the no-gil-spam server in chat like the RMT people:

If you're on PC, download Guildworks and use the chat filter to never see RMT spam again. If SE doesn't care about the spam, then they shouldn't care that we use a 3rd party program to block it.

You are right. I was debating that addon too this evening. It's against the terms of service because it blatantly performs both memory and packet injection like a bot program, so I'm still not sure about it. SE is shortsighted enough to let the gil spam run rampant on my server, so I am guessing SE might also be shortsighted enough to ban me for trying to ignore it in an efficient way.

For now, I think I am going to /busy. I hate /busy, and I know there are alternatives, but the spam is just so bad that this evening that the frowny /busy face seems appropriate enough for my mood. :P

This problem has been in existence since the game launched in Aug 2013. SEs reaction has been consistent throughout that time.....They completely ignore it. Not surprising. From reading other threads the problem exists primarily on non Japanese servers and therefore is a lower priority to SE. Yoshi-P and SE management refuse to address the matter despite pleadings from subscribers. As far as the numbers posted concerning actions taken they are of little value or validity without further details such as Servers involved etc.

On Gilgamesh it was quiet the first few weeks of Heavensward and then it just ramped right back up. I've taken to waging a personal war with SE support regarding spam. As annoying, cumbersome, and time consuming as it is I use the "Report Cheating" button and fill out a message with a copy/paste of the tell and a time stamp for almost every single RMT spam tell I get. If I'm getting flooded they should get flooded too until they do something. Occasionally I name the letters things like "RMT Spam - The Neverending Story".

Seriously, how hard is it to remove the blacklist limit and add a Right Click > Report RMT > Auto Blacklist. On the subject of blacklists they also need to give us a way to mass remove players from blacklist.
