Stats actually do matter. As a Lala, I can't hit some of the extra yield gathering nodes because I'm missing 2 str even tho I'm max level with max gear. Forces me to meld str materia to gathering gear :/

I'll carefully examine all the stats and just roll as Xaela as I like em best.![]()
Your reaction times, and latency, would make a much, much greater difference than the faction of a percent of stats given as racials. Just go with what you prefer. With the release of the expansion around the corner, and lots of people wanting to change to Au Ra, I myself am one of those people, but I am on the fence with this race change, mostly due to what their main stats will be. A lot of people would argue that the stats don't mean a whole lot, but I would like to know since I do like to min-max my stats for my classes. If anyone has any information they could share, it would be much appreciated, or if a rep could divulge that info, that would be cool too, since its not anything game breaking. It would just help people really choose what kind of Au Ra, or if they even want to change to Au Ra for xpac.
Well, the bigger the race the higher HP they seems to have, only exception are Keepers that have less VIT than the Plainsfolk but higher MND in game. If you look at it closely the stats have a sense: Seawolves highest HP, Dunesfolks highest MP, Highlanders highest STR and general higher physical stats, Midlander are the most equilibrate. Though you can't follow the look or common sense for the Auri due to the fact that males and females look so very different. Just out of feelings I'd say Xaela would have higher STR/INT (DRK fave) you know, they are more demonic and being nomad should have made the more aggressive, while Raen higher MND/PIE (AST fave), they left their nomad life to live in a community so it makes them more used to be "caring"(?) LOL but this is not based over nothing so better wait for them to tell us XD

Stas don't concern me.My Skill/Gear can make up for that.
I.. never even considered the impact that might have on gathering. I'll have to remember this when I fantasia in the future! Most often people only concern themselves with the combat aspect when it comes to stats, totally forgot about the extra yield requirements on some nodes
Another quality post with no info. Either way, no matter what you think numbers don't lie. A suncat has a base of 19 mnd. If I put you onto a mooncat, you would do better healing overall, same skill/gear, from the 4 mnd you didn't have before. Would it be minor? yeah, its pretty minor, but it doesn't mean that some people don't want to know.
It may be minor, but some people like to min-max.
My bf changed from suncat to mooncat just for the extra mind. And when I was remaking my elezen, I chose duskwight over wildwood because they had higher mind.
So if I was going to go Au Ra, I would also go with whichever subrace has higher mind.
I don't think it's unreasonable to want to know.
