cconstant crashing

ff14 keeps either crashing to desktop or just crash my pc, anyone have any idea why it might be doing this the game is almost unplayable for me and so close to heavensward too :'(

What are you doing when it crashes? Various things from standing around to being in an instance

PC overheating maybe? maybe!? new edit: just from standing in mor dhona im hitting a max of 68 C, so maybe i am over heating need to adjust for summer time i guess :/

Are all your drivers up to date? yup checked them to make sure

Tried reinstalling? I'm kind of hoping to avoid this just cause of the time it will take, but i will if i have too

To start off try getting a big fan if you have one (the kind that you just need to plug into a wall outlet or something) and put it behind your computer. If you have an overclocking program or something, you should also be able to manually make your computer's internal fans work harder. This is in case of overheating, which was an issue for me with my old computer.

It could also be some kind of virus/spyware/malware or whatever. I like to scan with malwarebytes, superantispyware, and adwcleaner myself (all free versions).

Also, does your PC crash playing any other games/doing anything else?

If yes, definitely a problem with your PC and you'll have to dig deeper to what it could be (overheating falls into this)

nope just 14, I have played Guild wars 2, Smite, Skyrim, ESO and none of these crash

Bad power supply can also be a problem.

It could be caused by another program. Are you running any other programs while running he game?

do u have NVidia GPU? seems last 2 drivers form them are pretty ****ed up. so id roll back to 340ish. my game kept crashing with the 350 driver and rolled back everything was fine again. also if u roll back.. make sure u manually uninstall the PhysX out of control panel.. otherwise it will continue to crash. but I will say.. about 80% of crashes are driver related.
