It's the same BS as always.
They know they're bad. That is why it's funny.
I am glad you are good at the game, but if you feel this widely used development style doesnt work for you, maybe you should take a look at a genre that doesnt evolve their games in this way. If you dont like my idea thats ok I am just saying that being upset about a trend in the MMO genre probably isnt gonna change it.
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
The same casuals who think that time sinks=long fights. Time sinks=faction/currency grinds which ironically most casuals are in favor of because it takes no effort.
Anyways to respond to your earlier post Tanaka was the one who was shaping this game to be Casual only. Yoshi however is shaping the game to cater to both hardcore and casual playstyles. So it is "not a direction the game is taking now". Yoshi saved the game for anyone who was looking to play a challenging endgame. I definitely trust that he will put out more challenging content than Tanaka ever would have (in this game), and certainly better than most modern WoW clones.
Of course if you are looking for super complex fights like some later ones endgame ones in FFXI right now, that is not going to happen because we don't have near the battle complexity as XI without the job system's specialized roles and other mechanics they have planned.
Which is exactly what Matsui has said.
Sadly I don't see this ever happening. All the content we've seen so far had no time restrictions and could be spammed over and over again leading "hardcore" linkshells with nothing to do after a week. You know that if they plan to release content every 3 months, if they just made the content take 6 months to complete, soon they would have a game that no one can complete all the content.
Please stop this easy mode. Make people earn it! That is a sense of accomplishment.
I love the idea of new content every 3 months! But easy mode is not good idea.
I enjoy hard content, sure, but at least make it last more than a week >.>
It was just a maybe friend, if you want to keep playing while not liking the way thing are going then hey join the crowd. Thats what I do. hey I know I can turn this around on myself and we can be friends again.
Hey Tony Montana if you dont like the market wards maybe FFXIV isnt for you anymore!
There. Now we can be friends again.

If brains had anuses, Visch's posts would be the result.
Good to know that the devs and most players aren't stupid and they're on board with plans for a more guided content progression.
The fact of the matter is, as long as the only way to get the best gear in the game is to rush through a hoard of instanced mobs and tank and spank the last boss, the challenge will never be there.
And if Yoshi really thinks it takes us 3 months to master content like this he really is disillusioned, especially if this is his definition of challenging/endgame content.
Good to know that you'd rather personally insult someone on a message board than make a valid point.

all yoshi is saying is ...we are a generic game...not one thing will be unique. every mmo coming out will be better then this one. but hey come one tool bag come all. your 16bucks is all you need to buy your gear and weapons. no worry bout cash shops or rmt or not having your way, 16bucks buys it all. /cheer. ...what a joke.
only things that ffxi had that made it different, was all the things he just took away with this post. i seriously just lost all hope for this mmo completely.
I just don't think that placing arbitrary restrictions on how often you could have done Darkhold would have made it any better. I don't know about you but I consider being in a "hardcore" linkshell to mean that you do regular events in endgame, well since we had been doing NM's for 8 months+ putting restrictions on how often we could enter Darkhold would have effectively meant we had little to nothing to do and would just be logging in every time our timer was up.Sadly I don't see this ever happening. All the content we've seen so far had no time restrictions and could be spammed over and over again leading "hardcore" linkshells with nothing to do after a week.
