    Pvp is gawd awful

    I love FFXIV don't get me wrong the PvE portion and story line is one of the best out there......HOWEVER, Pvp is so Gawd awful I mean it's basically zerg vs zerg and die and repeat not to mention if you want less players in a match that's going to cost you a 58min que wait......not kidding. They should remove Pvp all together from this game if this is what they called "finished product". It sucks nothing more to say.....why not the 8vs8 capture the flags or King of the hill type matches or capture the nodes and hold instead of everyone to the middle and zerg then die then back to middle......pointless

    Seems you got Slaughter. Slaughter needs some major reworking, and from all the old time pvp players that experienced frontline from the beginning feel the same way. Everyone misses 72 man Secure. It was great, it required strategy and actually required teamwork. I honestly hope that 72 man secure matches return with Heavensward because that game mode is 100x better than Slaughter imo. Pvp in this game is fine, it is just the current game mode slaughter 72man that makes it look bad.

    I completely agree, the new mode "Slaughter" is a huge step back for PvP in this game.....yet its the only one that ever pops.

    The lag on slaughter is really horrible, it's like you already avoid the Cometeor but it still hits you.

    Slaughter should just be limited to 24-man games. A smaller group size fixes a lot of problems Slaughter tends to suffer from and would make the mode generally more enjoyable. I like the idea of Slaughter - though would actually prefer if there weren't any NPC nodes at all - and feel it would be a huge shame if it were just...scrapped.

    What Slaughter needs is a legitimate new map, not the same one that Secure uses. A new, wide-open arena-like map fit for 3 teams. And, if NPC nodes must be a thing, only one should spawn smack dab in the center twice throughout the match. Add in some obstacles to a simple map like that - walls, maybe some changing terrain or traps or something - and you'd have a great map for Slaughter. It might even benefit for some higher elevation points, like some sort of second floor that only covers the perimeter of the map.

    Anyway, you get the point.

    I feel that a bigger concern for PvP is the annoying fact that damage only goes off when an attack animation completes and how, until that point, attacks can be outranged. It's pretty much how the game was designed, though, so I imagine it would be difficult to change without reworking combat entirely.

    One question to the author :

    Why do you want SE to remove PvP, while you can just skip it ?
    Why would other players have to stop PvP, just because you don't like it ?
