remember being a mrd with aoe skills and trying to kill one mob but 20 other mobs would walk over to you just to see what was going on and you couldn't use any of your skills.

Do you remember how many times the devs re-did the action icons? They changed shapes and graphics waaaaay too many times. And I just saw an old Alpha screenshot from before I started playing (was in the last Beta wave), with YET another set of icons I'd never seen before

Do you remember when a good 20% of the items in-game (especially food and weapon/armor parts) had one of 3-4 generic "Here's a box, your item is inside" icon? (basket, wrapped package, crate or chest). Some still have these, but not nearly as many.
