So my DF queue happened to pop while my screen was loading, thus making it impossible for me to accept. Now I have to wait 30 minutes before I can requeue because I apparently "left the duty" and am being punished for that.

Why am I being punished for this when it's completely out of my control? If some of the loading times are over 30 seconds (low enough that I don't even see it when it pops -- I just see a 'you didn't accept' message in my chat box), why is there a penalty attached to DF queues?

A PC. The loading time can be crazy sometimes. Especially in the cities.

There is a penalty attached to duty finder queues to stop people from queuing and not accepting. It doesn't happen after one time either Im pretty sure it's like 3 in 24 hour period.

Should make it possible to accept while zoning, like how you can chat.

You mean a peasant PS4 is faster than a PC, hmmm I wonder who the master race really is. 12 second load maximum to MD peak times. Otherwise less than 5.

This has happened to me before. Sometimes it takes me two minutes to load into Mor Dhona, thanks to my barely-able-to-run-this-game laptop.

I just eat the penalty. I don't mind... besides, even if you could accept, the game would still have to have you load onto the map that you're trying to get to, THEN load into the dungeon...

Because...

A) It's not actually out of your control. Running the game on a better machine would improve your play experience and that of others in this case. That being said, I know it isn't always feasible to run out and upgrade or replace your equipment at the drop of a hat.

B) This (or something else that caused you to withdraw at the ready prompt) must have already happened at least twice in the same 24-hour period before you received a penalty. If not, then you should file a bug report.

C) The small evil of inconveniencing the occasional "normal" player is balanced against the larger concern of reducing the occurrence of in-progress fishing and outright trollish queue behavior.

If you know you have a slow computer that can sometimes have long loading times (as I do), you learn to minimize teleporting while you're waiting for something to pop. That's entirely on you; it's not a fault with the system.
