PvP Rank and Expansion

Since it seems to be the norm for new versions, do you guys think the PvP level requirement for ilvl 100 gear will be removed?


I'm grinding Frontlines....if these queues can be considered grinding, but the problem is I have a ton of marks and only half the needed pvp level.

You can buy PVP gear in advance even if you are not the required level to wear it. You won't be able to use it of course, but you can still buy it and hold it in your inventory/retainer.
If you got some spare Marks laying around and you're consistently hitting the cap, you can buy some of the lower PVP gear to level Desynthesis, or just trade in for Grand Company seals.

Removing the level requirement on the i100 gear seems like it's gonna happen, just like what happened to the previous gear sets. This is not confirmed of course, but the precedent from the i90 set used to having requirements and being removed is there.
Hopefully we can start to use Desynthesis and seals trade-in on those higher ilevel items too in the future too.

I really only want it for glamour tbh. If I could glamour it without having to hit the lvl requirement I would be super happy.

i just want more pvp activity.. ill never get those achievements with the 90min wait time nows n 90% of the time its a loss anyways = =

id rather not have the rank requirement removed, then everyone would wear it out and it wouldn't make me feel like a special snow flake anymore.

i want to feel like I earned it is the real reason. because you know...... I actually earned it.

what i would rather see happen is for them to increase the amount of pvp experience obtained. that way people who are new can catch up quicker. while easing up on the grind ahead for those who already hit the max rank. it takes like 12k pvp exp to rank up once your rank is in the 40's or something like that, i don't remember.

id be upset if every Joe Blow or Sally down the street just got handed something i had to put 2 months of effort to get. especially when it serves no purpose other than glamour and to show that you actually took the time to reach the pvp rank needed.

i love PvP, Just trying to get to level 40 I ended up with a full set of WAR and BLM gear and half a set of WHM. Now I also have a full set of DRG minus the boots (still trying to grind those) I just really wish the queues werent so long. Fingers crossed for a PvP mode that isnt GC restricted.

You mean like all the win traders did with Wolves den to get gear for glamor? because "they dont want to pvp but still feel entitled to get the gear".

Atleats they are putting in the effort to get it.

Something I would like to see is that SE would remove the beast tribe standing requirement so i can get all of the beast tribe mounts, but I don't want to do the quest because im lazy and want it to be handed to me instead. SE please change it so beast tribe rank isn't a restriction so I can have all of the mounts while giving a giant middle finger to everyone who had to grind out beast tribe quests for months.

Part of me was really hoping they will remove the requirement, because I have been holding onto a Birdsong coat that I've wanted to glamor for ages and PvP queue times are so long that it would take me months of waiting in queues to get to the right PvP rank. But, I think in the end I feel a bit more like Holly on this issue--grinding to get to rank 38 and above is a real achievement, and I want to keep going until I get there. Taking away the restriction would take away my motivation to queue for PvP for some time, and lord knows we don't need people less motivated to queue...

I recognize that removing the restriction is very likely to happen, because they have done it in the past, but I kind of wish they wouldn't. Rewards for PvP should stay rewards.
