    A question posed...

    Alright, so here's the situation since I haven't been keeping up on much class info. I'm the type of player who prefers physical DD (ARC50/LNC50, currently). I have no real interest in mage classes whatsoever (will keep ranking mage classes to 20 for beneficial solo abilities, but I have no plans to ever take them past that rank unless a large perk comes up). So, as it stands I currently have GLA30, PGL31, MRD33. My question to you experienced folks is, what would be the best class to rank next for DD support? I've taken mage classes & Gladiator out of the mix for obvious reasons. My real problem is I'm fairly uncertain as to whether MRD or PGL would be the next most beneficial class. Although I do see some benefits through MRD, I'm starting to lean more heavily towards PGL. Any thoughts/experiences/points would be greatly appreciated.

    I'd say PUG is more about the tanking compared to MRD. If you prefer to DD you might like MRD better. Second Wind II might be nice to have though I guess as well as Prime Conditioning. The other DD skills PUG could bring to your archer and lancer are Blindside and Discerning Eye...but they arn't great in my opinion.

    Thanks for the input, I definitely would like to get the second tiers of Second Wind and Blindside. The biggest drawback for Marauder for me is the enmity generating abilities it comes with... and there are a lot. haha.

    A lil quick breakdown to help you:

    Pure DD skills
    PGL: Blindside II
    MRD: Skull Sunder II (great 500 TP WS with DoT to use cross-class)

    Survivability skills
    PGL: Second Wind II, Featherfoot II
    MRD: Bloodbath II, Foresight II (Defender II in pure DD situations isn't really useful compared to other skills like Sentinel IMO)


    Anyway, they're changing skills between classes in 1.19 and mostly in 1.20, so nothing is set in stone.

    I'm aware of the skills available, my question is more so reliant on off-shoot abilities apart from the "knowns", y'know? Like when Barbaric Yawp is fixed, an AoE interrupt sounds amazing. Pugilist on the other hand, does have some evasive skills for those "oh sh-t!" moments. After a lot of debate and the few comments I've received from these threads, I'm thinking I'm going to go with Pugilist. Although MRD & PGL both share some similar abilities as you've shown, I believe PGL would be the way to go. Foresight I believe requires you to face the mob where as Featherfoot is basically a shadow (Diversion from LNC is great for this too but I never seen anyone bother with it). Same with SW vs. BB, SW is a constant where as Bloodbath requires a decent weaponskill to be available to get the full benefit (I'm unaware if Bloodbath stacks with Multishot? I doubt it.)

    Anyway, you're definitely right about the skill changes up-coming and I am aware of that. I was just hoping (I posted this in both MRD & PGL forums) that some forum posts would kinda pull me to a clear leaning. Another reason I've been uncertain is that it doesn't appear that SE really -knows- what they want MRD to be yet. At first I was thinking off-tank for trash during encounters, then it seemed like it could be a great AoE physical DD (thanks for the Broad Swing gimp SE), but now I'm kinda like... what IS Marauder... haha. Thanks for the input though, every little bit helps sway my decision.
