I mean, Trick attack happens throughout the fight as well.
I would think NIN would be slightly above DRG due to Trick Attack.

Then again, buffing the BRD damage is more significant than buffing Tank damage. So I guess it can go either way.
If your BRD or MCH (though we don't know MCH damage type for sure yet or if they get their own debuff) is really good, it might make better use of the debuff as well.

Have you done the math in your sim between this?
Trick Attack mostly affects the opener, but since it's also a universal damage increase every minute I would put more value in it.

I think NIN has more utility overall, DRG is more damage focused. That difference seems to be going further in HW.
If you lag, DRG might be more enjoyable unless you particularly like NIN.

Also have to remember now that in the expansion drgs will give a crit buff to the whole group. which will even them out more/ maybe bypass trick attack depending on your group setup and how much crit it gives.

Oh, I must have missed this. I even just re-checked the Dengeki and Game Watch class changes for it.
I do think DRG deserves some utility though, so that would be a good change.
    Where was it announced?

    Thanks for the source.
I actually remember now from that interview with Yoshida.
Didn't really get it because the other articles never mentioned it.

Seems like a good change. Wonder how it works.

Trick Attack, it is basically effective for only 1/6th of a fight (60 sec recast IIRC) whereas Disembowel can be up potentially 100% of the fight. Which is better for your party basically comes down to simple maths of which increase benefits your party more: 10% boost for all for 10 seconds out of every 60, or is the 10% piercing only buff (or 8% effective buff?) being up 90-100% of the time keeping your overall raid DPS higher, as well as the second question of which buff is keeping your DPS high enough during the critical checks? Sometimes a perma-buff limited on who it is affecting can be stronger than a party-wide short-term boost.

Well, those two shouldn't only be compared side to side since the NIN can also bring Dancing Edge.
So can a WAR too, so it depends on who keeps it up.

There's also a possibility that some comps might not have a WAR with 3 tanks.
Slashing debuff only affects tanks, but it's something to take into account in addition to Trick Attack.

This new DRG crit buff probably make DRG favored though.
Unless MCH turns out to not be piercing, at least.
