    Summoner DoT tracking

Hey I was wondering how summoners keep track of their dot timers.

I was doing Syrcus tower today and found that while usually my dots are displayed first and makes them easy to track...that wasnt always the case.

In fact somtimes I would cast Bio2 (and see that it hit) but it wouldnt appear on the targets debuff list.

Enemies have a debuff limit of 60. They also have a display limit of 30, so only 30 icons will show even if more debuff are attached.

There is a character setting that allows you to limit the icons to "only detrimental effects that you apply". This is helpful for tracking your own stuff, but at the expense of not being able to see what other debuffs your group/alliance have applied.

From my experience, that doesn't actually help at all. If you're in the second set of 30, you're stuck there, and it won't display even if you turn on this setting.

Yes this is true, even with that setting, it will still shut you out if the mob has reached its limit of 30 to display. However, if you're having a hard time tracking your DoTs because there is an onslaught of icons constantly shifting around, this setting can help you keep your eyes on the timers a little better.

But if that's your only issue, you can just set your dots to be the first ones on the left. Or is that the default now?

Hm I see....so if they have more than 60 debuffs on them (I am not sure of the usual amount that goes on a boss in a typical run through) my DPS as a summoner will be......harder since some other allies applications can cut mine off?

    Pretty much, it's definitely pesky.

Default is your buffs/debuffs have a greenish border, and are displayed first on the left. Granted that they are under the debuff limit. If its over I hope you're good at counting.

    Go into Character Configuration>UI Settings>HUD

There is a checklist under Character Configuration and next to Display enhancements & Enfeeblements. There is a drop down menu. Select "Justified Left (Priority)" It will now always display your DoTs as the first enfeeblements on your target.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option for this for Focus Target as far as I've found, if anyone else has I'd appreciate the input.
