I have nothing left I can argue with that I haven't already said repeatedly. My point is made, and I have heard nothing to even make me doubt my own side. So, I'll just let you have your fantasy for the next 4 days.

Content too hard? Too much rng? Too much effort for the item you want?

We're talking about a system where these are considered blunt:

There's not much point getting into the whats or the whys. Whatever they do will be for the balance of the current jobs, and that in all likelihood entails MCH having piercing damage to ensure DRG stays relevant in a BRDless party, unless the balance of the melee is completely different in 3.0.

See, thing is, mnk weapons, in the beginning, were by and large blunt based, with a couple exceptions. Post 50 they started getting crazy with the sharp claws and spikes and such, but really, unless they were to completely change gears and attribute damage type to the weapon rather than the class, there's really not much they can do. And if they did, for afformentioned reasons, we'd just have no blunt dps at all.

And I keep hearing people yammering on about weapon damage and job balance and so on so forth. I can't speak for everyone, but I have literally never even heard of a party prioritizing a dragon soley for the reasoning that they buff brd. If that was honestly that big of a consideration, a DRG would be a priority in every single endgame party, cause there's always gonna a brd in the party. Hell, if it's that big of a concern, then MCN is already dead in the water, cause it doesn't have requiem. If 2 piercing jobs makes drg op, then clearly requiem is the only move that matters, since brd can buff not 1, not 2, but 4 jobs. MCN is just completely useless cause it doesn't have it. Topic done, right?!?

You don't prioritise Dragoon for it, but it's what keeps it in competition with Ninjas who can use Trick Attack. As he said, balance.

Technically many antipersonnel rounds are designed to be blunt - they expand and or disintegrate to shred and pulverize tissue, and transfer maximum momentum to the target - "stopping power".

Antiarmor rounds are designed for piercing and penetration. Whether or not monsters like dragons count as trying to penetrate armor or not is up to you.

They are fundamentally different from a stabbity type weapon like a dagger or rapier.

They are also fundamentally different from a crushing weapon like a mace or a maul.

    Shrug!
