FFXIV ARR/Heavensward Bundle Pre-Order Question/Concern

I'm a PS4 player soon to hopefully be transitioning back to PC usage after rebuilding my PC from the ground up. I have only ever played the Beta of ARR, but have never owned the PC version myself.

Back in April, I bought the Digital Bundle of ARR/HW for the PC, but the way it is being handled both concerns and infuriates me a bit.

After I bought it, I redeemed the codes and everything, and it says I have to wait for the 23rd of June to actually be able to do anything with it. I was annoyed that it would not at least let me download the base game and hold onto the heavensward code till it released, but I thought, alright, I'll just keep playing on my PS4 for now.

Recently, like quite a few people have been getting, I get a early access code. Problem is, the bundles are not suppose to have said codes at all. I've tried SEVERAL times to redeem this code onto my current service account (I don't want to lose the character I already have), but it keeps saying the code is invalid.

My question is, why am I getting a early access code that the system says I can't use because of the item I pre-ordered?

I would also complain about not being able to download and start playing the Base Game on my PC right away, but I'm guessing I set myself up for failure on that one...

P.S.: Please don't tell me to redeem in the playstation store, what I ordered was for PC, it wouldn't make sense for it to be redeemed there.
