OK this is a major pet peeve regarding Duty Finder

I understand that the wait time varies while the DF, especially for DPS classes, but while I'm waiting sometimes I go to my Retainers to deposit items or sell my items and whenever I do that sometimes the DF ques up and renders my actions invalid.

As in setting up the price for my item and I'm about to hit OK and the que pops up stopping me from either finalizing my actions and it drives me nuts. Including withdrawing and depositing my items as well.

Why is this such a thing exists? I find this absolutely ridiculous and annoying and really screws you up. Like my inventory is full and I need to deposit some items to make room and DF doesn't let that happen when the que is up and I have to make a decision to discard some times I don't want to.

Or I forgot to grab I item I need for whatever dungeon or trail or raid I'm going into and I can't snag it because the DF que in during it.

This is frustrating on many levels. As well as I'm away from any summoning bells to call my retainers or city-state or any place I need to go to sell or buy items and I try to teleport and suddenly on the last second the DF que pops up interrupting my attempts to make a quick trip somewhere to re-supply, repair, or anything else and it irritates me. Especially when you just que and the DF pops up a few seconds later regardless of which class.

I could withdraw from my DF que but then there's the penalty and doing it too many times a day will lock me out until the next day and I rather not do that and makes the decision to wait until the DF run is finished or pulling out and risking penalty for it.

True there are other things that irritated me with DF such as not being able to switch your gear layout when you're doing something like ATMA farming or Spirit Bonding your gear and you need to switch back to the higher-level trial you're doing and you can't. You could simply wait until you're in to do it and though I like to during the que.

And the changing of the gear should be tied to the class you are in like PLD switching their weapons for only PLD weapons and no other classes.

Though this isn't my biggest concern and only a minor problem that is easily resolved by waiting until you're in. But the problems regarding using Retainers when DF que is sometime I like to be address pronto and to that extent the Teleport one as well.

I can't be the only one to find this particular recurrence to be rather irritating to deal with.

SE please do something about this. I hate when I set up something and about to finish it or halfway through it and DF que pops up and I have to wait it out until they to finish it. I know I could wait, but when you're about to finish something I rather have that done first before doing something else.

Character management.

To elaborate, Do the big things like inventory managing, Retainer, Market boards, etc before you queue. Save the small stuff or things that are quick to finish (Like crafting) for after you queue. They have already extended the time, added an extra button, allow you to click "wait" in an effort to make it easier. I think things are fine the way they are. Anything else they do to this will only complicate things and cause even further problems.

No matter what they do someone will be unhappy.

I try to do, but there's something I forget or while I'm out hunting or farming I earn material I like to save on my Retainers and then the DF que pops up. Happens to me a lot.

I believe the reason is to prevent dupes by depositing/listing an item and then popping the queue and removing your character from the server before it can update you inventory and thus listing/depositing the item while still having it in your inventory.

Or the flip side, potentially losing the item entirely.

they added it in (2.38 i think) because most players who put things on the market either found items vanishing or there value being rested to a default value, so the stop was put in to SAVE your items. and they also encouraged you to take care of those things before or after your queue.

So that's why... kinda stinks, but I don't want to lose rare items I got when selling. -_-

Not to be that guy, but they never budged on extending the time. It's been 45 secs since launch.

I think it's been there since longer than 2.38 (because I can't find it in the notes), but I do think that's why it's there.
