How to deal with this kind of friend?

In game or real life, I stand by my ethics and morals. I'd talk to my friend - and not in the nice way - and make it clear if they didn't stop, I'd take them down. And if they didn't believe me, I'd do it without hesitation.

Why? Because no matter what, it DOES involve me. From the moment I'm made aware of something wrong being done, I'm involved. Does it warrant me policing the situation? Not always, but if there's even a slim chance that that person's illegal activity/rule breaking/etc. may negatively affect me as well, I would bring down the hammer myself. BECAUSE we're friends. Some of the more morally gray folk here might not understand, and that's fine. I'm a lot more gray than I let on. . . but I know which side I'd rather be on at the end of the day. And friendship has NEVER been a free pass to do wrong with me.

Sure sure, "it's just a game". Yup. And buying gil is "just" a violation of its terms of service. This game world doesn't make the people that thrive in it - or their sense of right and wrong - any less real, unless by disagreeing with this statement you admit to completely checking your morals at the virtual door and showing everyone who you really are in the dark?
