I main tank and I typically try to avoid duty finder on it because DF dps is horrid. As much as good dps complain about DF tanks, it's the exact opposite for good tanks. We run into terrible dps that makes it just as miserable.

I don't really run into problems DFing as a healer (not verbal abuse at least).
The other day, I went to wp hm.. Party was going smoothly, then on the frog pull, I was tossing dots because it seemed the tank was going to stop, but then he went for the door.. And stupidly, I baned while running. I pulled aggro just as he got to the final mobs, which fell into quite a bit of chaos (especially as a flare snagged some mobs, too). I apologized afterm saying I hadn't seen anyone go for that pull in awhile so I didn't expect it... Tank admitted he didn't usually do it, but the past few groups, got harassed for not grabbing both groups. Oh well.
If every person in the game has both tanks at 50 and fully geared in i130 gear and can play a tank to perfection, but only 15-20% of people ever actually do this, there is a shortage of tanks. It is not enough to simply have the job levelled and geared. You have to be actually doing it everywhere a lot of the time, and as long as people are actively avoiding it there will be a real shortage of tanks regardless of the potential supply of tanks in the game.

My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
Kudos for communicating and being civil. The other day, I went to wp hm.. It might not sound like much but it's oft missed in the DF.
I'm kinda the opposite here. For a long time I used tank solely for DF for fast queues and bonus gil, even though I prefer healing. Only reason I hung up my axe is now I'm working on Thyrus Nexus so every dungeon counts. I didn't just phone it in though, I did my best to play to the best of my ability, to do any less would be inconsiderate.
That said, my time tanking and healing has shown me one thing: I can't trust DPS. The number of times they've ignored important adds (like the bird,on Midgardsormr, everything on five-headed dragon...) Killed themselves by attacking when they shouldn't have (oh hey, five-headed dragon again...) Directed boss AoE to the wrong area (first boss of AK HM and KotL)... just any mechanic you can name, they fail again and again. Seems they've taken the age old advice of "you're invisible as DPS, nobody will notice if you mess up" to heart.
I like Warrior I play Warrior as a tank But sometimes I questions am I good warrior. So I play Healer and DPS.. Go back to Warrior because WOW there are some bad tanks out there so I guess I'm a good tank.

Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
When I go DF as DPS, I get bad tanks. When I go DF as a tank, I get bad DPS. This is the usual, but ever so rarely I'll get good versions of both. I can hope when DRK comes out I'll like it enough to use it as a main and just block out everything else in DF.
There are lots of tanks, they are all in fates/hunts/WoD.
But yeah DF is a pain for tanking lots of times. Why tank for randoms who are as likely to be the know it all asshole type as nice.
Though I was the tank who forgot oath last night and was wondering for half the dungeon why it seemed hard to hold hate with slaying gear on. (I was really really tired and probably shouldnt have queued...)
They just rely on overgeared healers filling in their laziness and mistakes. Anytime the healer is or tank are appropriately gear for the content, but not for dps who stand in everything, it's a fail run due to "crappy heals and tank."I'm kinda the opposite here.
