Think about it... Tyro in the game as a Lalafell Astrologian. Either curator of the Lore Library that's going to be implemented sometime during 3.x with Dr. Mog as assistant, of course.

Or as a recurring quest NPC related to Astrologian's (again, Lalafell; sadly, very likely too late to make him their trainer).

Also, FFXIV crossover content for FFRK (Lady Iceheart recruitable... Raubahn... pixelated Coil, Twintania, etc.).

At risk of being a bit blunt, what point would there be?

I'll admit I only played Record Keeper once because it was monumentally boring, but from what I could gather there's no real story, and the "characters" only exist to hold up the flimsy excuse for a plot, which itself is a thinly-veiled excuse for the real draw of the game, nostalgia trips.

I mean, I see it working the other way around (FFXIV stuff in Record Keeper) because that's the point of that game. But I doubt enough people would care, or even know what an RK reference was if it hit them in the face, to make it worth the effort of putting them into XIV.

Not like it'd be difficult to implement. Make his hat & name a Lalafell after him who works in a library or something.

Fair enough. Wouldn't call him a non-character though, he's playable & has some semblance of a personality hehe.
