All the little FFXIV annoyances, what are yours?

To start with, this may seem nitpicky to some - you need not read it if such things bother you. Also I do enjoy the game, this isn't a post meant to be read as hostile.
This is just a thread for game related things in XIV you find annoying. Note I'm not talking about bad players or annoying people, nor gil sellers. I'm talking mechanical things - game design related issues that bug the crap out of you.

Tab Targeting. When I first started playing Reborn (actually quite some time ago) I thought it was just my imagination, but having played enough now I realize it isn't. This games "Tab Target" selection is really really awful. It's especially noticeable while tanking. I'll have two mobs in front of me a meter a way, and three more milling around off in the distance - tabbing to select will cycle through every one of them before I get the one I want more often than not. I've even had it select mobs a hundred meters off and to the extreme peripherals of my screen instead of selecting the monster directly in front of me. I really have no idea why tabbing is so janky in XIV, it's something I never noticed being so unreliable in other titles.

Lacking the ability to change where my selection defaults in the duty window (teleports etc). I still have not adjusted to Wait being default and really wish we had the option to change this. Incredibly annoying.

#1 and #2 - most annoying for me is I HAVE NO DIALOGUE...just those ridiculous nods. That is just so completely inappropriate that the most important person in the game never says a visible word... and even worse my face might as well be made of stone for all the change in emotion that crosses it
All the other NPCs show emotions, why not me?

#3 = TAB TARGET - fail target 90% of the time!

#4 = Doors I must click multiple times to get through. ONE right click please!
Why not simply have the blue dotted line which just changes zones? No clicking needed!

#5 = not being able to change the size of INDIVIDUAL UI elements! I want an adjustable size mini map, enemy list, main and focus target...oh hell just about all of the UI elements. Yes I know about the % slider bar but that's for the whole thing, not individual bits.

#6 = There should be a setting to allow for autorun of cutscenes so no constant clicking is needed!

Go into the HUD editor, you can change each element in there seperately

    Well thanks both!
I've never seen any indication in the HUD editor to allow resizing of anything, just moving them wherever. I will check this out asap once we can get in game again!

You can also resize elements that don't appear in the UI like character menu, fishing log, golden saucer menu, ect... the same way.

most of these annoyances also apply to single player story "mini instances".

Not being allowed to change jobs inside dungeons. Another seemingly pointless restriction. I've had my share of groups where a tank has ditched, and I could easily have swapped roles and kept us going - but no, can't have that for whatever reason. There's already a 2+ minute CD on all abilities after class changing in the field, I don't see how there's any exploit here.

Not being able to change gear/open certain menus with AH or Merchant or other windows open. Sure it's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance. Particularly when looking for dyes, keep having to exit out of everything to open the dye menu to find what the actual color is of certain color names. Again, not sure why this restriction exists. If I want 20 (hyperbole) different menus open while standing at a merchant or market board... well that doesn't really harm anything.

I said I wasn't going to talk about gil sellers but, I will question why I can't mass-deny friend requests. I've got at least 20 of them right now, all gilsellers. Of course a better more universal solution to the actual problem would be better, but at least this minor change could treat a symptom.

Level Sync, the idea is a great one and helps keep content somewhat relevant. That said, i really really wish it did not lock out abilities. Low levels are tedious, partly because you have very few things you can actually do. My monk spent 20+ levels essentially hitting 1 > 2 > 3 in that order over and over again. It would be nice if we could keep access to everything we learn, just have their values lowered like everything else is. Yes you'd be a bit stronger than intended, but it'd also be a hell of a lot more fun and I imagine it wouldn't be to much different than having properly itemized gear - even if those stats are lowered its still blows anything you "should" have at lower levels out of the water. Plus it would be nice having the option to practice new ability rotations even if roulette decides to put you in Satasha.

Dragoon has no wyvern. Yes the wyvern sucked. Yes Squenix's inability to balance pet classes is why Dragoon sucked for so long. I don't care, I want my cute flying lizard back dangit.

Finally. less an annoyance and more just a wish. Namely the party co-ordination and co-operation of FFXI's Skill Chains. Few things were as satisfying as lining up a Freeze Magic Burst perfectly with a group of people you just met. XIV's "Limit Break" system feels so passive and just meh in comparison. It's actually just part of my general dissapointment in how much less depth XIV has. It would have been awesome if XIV's classes could play off eachother in some similar way.

The broken part of it is that doesn't let you tab-taget anything that you can't see the HP meter of. Even if it's right in front of you. This happens A LOT on WoD. It doesn't even have any logical order that it tab targets to, you'd think it would at least be the enmity order.

Because players did that in V1.x and it allowed people to do "All WHM" and "all BLM" at any time not in combat. It makes balancing the dungeon impossible when combined with item level sync. Just look at it from the developers POV. "Well what if the healer switches to a DPS role at this point?" Essentially every piece of combat, including the trash mobs would have to be balanced against the possibility of ALL DPS or ALL DPS'ing Healers.

What would make sense... at least logically is to allow the player to change roles if, and only if that spot has been vacated. eg "Playername wishes to switch roles with you [Accept/Decline]" or "Playername wishes to switch to role (name) [Agree|Decline] before filling a role vacancy"
