Suggestion: Let Aetheryte Pendulum Teleport Party, not Just Self

due to the fact it only lasts for people with the 'sprout' leaf, i don't think it would be worth it, to be honest.

Indeed, the idea is that one can bring their current party along to help the sprout. The sprout gets additional help and potentially extra friends. Plus, the veteran friend will be less likely to refuse to come help because she may not want to leave their party behind.

2 reasons why this wouldn't be a good idea, depending on your server you can have people (who would be dedacated enough) to just create new accounts for free teleports to most places

and the second reason is, the 'sprout' is only to new players who are classified as new until 1 of 3 conditions have been met. 20+ hours logged in game. Hitting lvl 25 or beating Ifrit normal. all of which could be done in one day now.
not only that but you can ONLY teleport to them if they are on your friends list, due to this highly specific detail of who you can teleport to it wouldn't be worth chaining this thing to allow a whole party, since in a day or two you would just have to teleport to the nearest athercyte anyway.

Interesting. I see both of those as good reasons to make it work for the full party, but I'm obviously looking at it rather differently.

As far as it being used more because it's more useful, that's the whole point. But I don't see anyone sane paying for another account and going to the trouble of logging on additional characters for the sake of saving 700 gil each time. What I do see is people hopefully doing what I'm doing, what Square perhaps intended: befriending new players and helping answer questions they have as they learn to play the game.

That segues into the second part. It's not about the one new player you actually refer so much as it's about the ongoing ability to teleport to any new player friend. Much like the commendation system, it rewards players for being nice and helpful to newer folks. =)

Also, I believe your sprout conditions are incorrect. I have a level 41 sprout on my friend list now, for instance.
