Over the shoulder camera

Is it possible to make an over-the-shoulder camera view from the settings.The game does it when you're locked onto an enemy; I want to use it just to have a good view of what's in front of me. I played with the camera options for a bit, but didn't find anything in particular. Am I missing something?

Nah don't think so.

Its what the camera "locks on" to and in the case of normal gameplay (without you locking on to enemies), it will always center your character in the middle of the screen. Thats why you can zoom in and look at your char's boob- I mean, body.

Anyways, it would be nice to have over the shoulder camera, just to see how Eorzea would look like as a person, instead of a flying camera stalking a person.

I found out that you're able to move the camera up or down, but didn't find left or right in particular

I don't really know what you mean by "over the shoulder" camera view, but there's a setting in Character Configuration > Control Settings > General for "Switch to 1st person view when fully zoomed in."

Could that be what you're looking for?

Over the shoulder is a 3rd person point of view. similar to 1st person point of view, except you can see you character on screen. like in Socom or Tomb raider, where the camera follows the character with a camera angle slightly giving you a view over your characters shoulder
